Sallie Randolph, of counsel to the LOSA, draws on her background as a freelance writer and publishing consultant to advise and represents writers and other creative professionals. 

Focusing on contract negotiations, copyright, and other areas impacting the creative arts, Sallie works with clients to identify and craft an approach that not only protects, but nurtures, their work.

A published author herself, Sallie is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA), the Authors Guild, the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and several others. She has served on the ASJA Board of Directors and as a former chair of its Legal Resources Committee.

Sallie is also a frequent speaker at programs for lawyers and writers.  She has also taught law, writing and journalism in a variety of educational settings, including several years at UB Law School, where she developed a copyright compliance program, instructed and supervised law student interns, taught courses in publishing law and legal ethics, and directed a publishing and copyright clinic. She has also taught media law for journalism majors at Buffalo State College and professional writing for numerous institutions. 

Sallie is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County and a former chair of its Intellectual Property Committee. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Michigan State University and is a cum laude graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law.
